I’ve been dreaming about our little baby’s nursery for a few months now– talk about surreal!– and thought I’d share some of my favorite nursery ideas with y’all today!

Originally, I really wanted a cream and white colored nursery: very serene, very neutral, and very… well, boring.  David said he didn’t like that because it was too boring and he read in one of his baby books (yes, he’s been reading up a storm lately) that babies like color contrast.  With that in mind, we set out on the task of picking gender-neutral nursery colors.

I know I want to paint the crib using the eco-friendly CeCe Caldwell (like I did with our bookshelf in the family room) because their paints are all natural and healthy for both me  (as a pregnant gal) and the baby.  Here are CeCe Caldwell’s color options:

Sooo, here are some photos that I found online for inspiration I really liked:

So apparently I’m really drawn to aqua/ turquoise nurseries!  That settles it– going to use CeCe Caldwell’s Santa Fe Turquoise paint for the crib!  Not sure about the rest of the nursery yet (one step at a time!) but at least I know one color I definitely want to incorporate– can’t wait to get the ball rolling on this!
