Happy Saturday night, y’all! (In case you were wondering, why, yes– I am sitting at home on a Saturday night and David and I are about to have a Scrubs marathon while Evie sleeps and we eat frozen dinner and drink some local red wine. This is actually heaven to me these days.) I just realized I’d never shared the final pictures of the nursery now that it’s complete and thought I’d do so!
We had to move the bed away from the baseboard heater under the window so we centered it against one of the sets of closet doors. It actually works pretty well in its new location!
The changing table nook is complete with the curtain tie-backs and I’ve got to say– it’s super convenient. I love having everything handy (including the white eyelet laundry hamper– so sweet for a little girl’s room!) and it works well for us.
I spend a good deal of time in this corner of the room. The rocker and ottoman are ridiculously comfortable. 🙂
To the left of the rocker is the bookshelf, then our blanket basket and then the dresser! The sweet rocking chair lamp on the bookshelf was a gift from my mom and it works coincidentally well with the beige color scheme.
It’s definitely not the most traditional of nursery colors– turquoise and beige with white and pink accents– but I am pleased with how it turned out. I don’t think I would be happy with a yellow, green, or gray nursery as seems to be the thing to do when you don’t know the gender of the baby. Ours is a little funky and I like it! Hopefully Evie does too.
