The back of the house

Den

Dining Room

Family Room… so grateful only the bottom half was wallpapered!

Front of the house

Guest bathroom

Guest bedroom…. Look, no wallpaper!! (Just border)

Second guest bedroom

Half-Bathroom downstairs

Hallway

No words for the decor of the kitchen

Kitchen

Kitchen (again)… notice there is no fridge. 1 of the burners works and the hood does not.

Laundry room upstairs

The master bathroom

The master bedroom! The picture window is actually horribly cracked.

[…] there’s a big gaping hole in the middle of the wall where the medicine cabinet used to be (scroll down halfway to see the bathroom before we touched a thing). I decided I didn’t want a medicine cabinet there […]

I am so envious of you , I am drooling at the beauty of your new home and what you are doing with it to make your mark there. It is AWESOME ! It may take what seems forever and a day to get to the finishing line, but it will be well worth the journey. And, you will both become experts in restoring and old house ,,just like in ” This Old House ” on TV.. Put my name in one of the guests rooms when you are ready to entertain .
Great job !

Great bones…but oh my. That kitchen. There are really people who wallpaper their cabinets? In floral?

I enjoyed watching House Hunters that featured Charlottesville. Great house/property. Can’t wait to see the final product!

The stained glass kitchen cabinets are intriguing! Are you going to keep them or replace/repurpose them else ware?

Hi Amanda, great question! Right now we’re holding on to all of the stained glass and I’m not sure what we’re going to do with it– any suggestions?
The wood is holding up great so far (knock on… itself) but we’ll see what happens after a few years of two kids!
