Linens in the Nursery

Almost done with feminizing the nursery!  We decided to keep with the beige/ivory/white/turquoise color scheme and use white eyelet as the jumping off point.DSC_0761

I ordered three pairs of white eyelet curtains from Overstock, plus a white eyelet bedskirt and pillow shams (also from Overstock), and got lucky with a white eyelet crib skirt from eBay for only $10!

Then, after the eyelet came in, I ordered an ivory and beige bedspread from Overstock as well.  (I had some awesome 12% and 20% off coupons to use!)

The “EVIE” above the window is a sweet gift from my sister Karn!  She decoupaged letters using wrapping paper remnants she saved from my baby shower back in June.  Isn’t that just the sweetest thing ever?

Meriwether likes the curtains too.  🙂  We don’t let her in the nursery unless we’re in there too (I’m paranoid until the baby learns to turn her head by herself) so she loves when she can go in.

I ordered beige ribbon tie backs (from Etsy) for the curtains but they haven’t arrived yet.

Right now the curtains make up a solid wall but soon they’ll be draped back.

Below is a picture of the bedskirt up close– I love how it softens the lines of the crib.DSC_0774

And here is the glider and footrest where Evie and I spend hours and hours each day!

It’s coming together!  Just a few more touches until the nursery decoration is done.

In addition to decorating the nursery, we’ve been pretty busy with work in our kitchen and sun room area… I haven’t been blogging about it yet because I’ve had a few other things on my mind but now that Evie’s letting us sleep more I’ll start filling y’all in on all the changes that have been happening!
